HOW CAN HYPNOTHERAPY HELP ME?
Today's society presents us with many different stresses - pressures of work, finances, personal safety, relationships and family. Some stress is necessary to function efficiently. However too much stress will greatly impair performance, communication and health. Stress is the major cause of many health problems.
My aim is to help restore and maintain your optimum mental and physical health and, as a result, enhance your energy, efficiency and vitality.
HOW MANY SESSIONS SHOULD I EXPECT TO ATTEND?
This is always a difficult question to answer because it is the "whole person" who is presented for assistance; not just a set of symptoms and aims. We have been strongly conditioned to believe that change MUST BE slow and usually painful.
Therapists using modern methods have found that this need not be so and that it is possible to make deep and lasting changes; often comparatively quickly and easily. We are all unique individuals and must be treated as such on all levels.
WILL I REMAIN IN CONTROL?
Hypnotherapy does not impose behaviour with which the client would not normally agree, but it does support and reinforce changes which have been consciously considered and deemed to be desirable.
A therapist highly skilled in observation is able to recognise even minor variations in behaviour that provide very important clues to a person's interests and abilities.
These signs are utilised to help guide the client into the absorbing state of altered awareness that is generally called trance. Therapy is then able to channel the untapped resources of the subconscious mind to achieve the needed changes.
CAN I BE HELPED WITHOUT GOING INTO A TRANCE?
Deep trance is only one of the methods of hypnotherapy/psychotherapy. There are many avenues of approach to the subconscious mind, in order to overcome problems or achieve personal growth.
Beneficial change does not depend on the achievement of a required depth of trance.
